While in Oberlin, she attended Pleasant Street School on N. Professor Street with her sister and cousins. When her father returned from Germany after the war, she lived with him and attended Norwalk High School, where she played instruments in the band and remained lifelong friends with many classmates.

Nancy had many great attributes. She has a kind and gentle soul, was always pleasant, sociable, and genuinely cared about everyone she met. Her motto was always to “Love one another and forgive,” which she taught was the “TRUE MEANING” of life. Nancy would cook family members their “favorite” meal for birthdays. She was very devoted to her family and friends.

In Nancy’s younger years, she was a homemaker and cared for the elderly in reflection of her caring nature. She was a telephone operator in Norwalk, and was a secretary for other companies and Dad’s business for many years. Later, she was a dedicated employee at Hurts Greenhouse, making and selling floral arrangements for all occasions. Before retiring in her mid-70s, she worked for Strongsville Target.

Nancy was a true devoted Catholic and attended church regularly. She loved to attend the Lucky Ladies luncheons monthly. Once Nancy recovered from “C,” she generously gave her time as a volunteer for many years for Reach to Recovery at the American Cancer Society, helping many women before surgery. Every year, she would make all the table floral arrangements for the Cancer Society’s yearly fundraisers, and have lots of fun doing it. Some of her favorite hobbies are cooking/baking, gardening, artwork, and decorating. She loved all flowers and plants, but her absolute favorite flowers were white gardenias. She attended ceramics classes and took pride in numerous pieces of art that will always be cherished. Nancy always loved to get her nails and hair done. She took pride in everything she did.

She was a “TRULY DEVOTED” mother and grandmother with “UNCONDITIONAL LOVE” for all. She has a “BEAUTIFUL SOUL” and was a great person and an “ANGEL on Earth!” She is now held high in GOD’s hands and will continue to do GOD’s work and will. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her, and she will FOREVER be in our Hearts and Souls!
