Jared Joseph Ondrusko, born October 4, 1980, in Cleveland, Ohio, passed away on December 8, 2025, in Parma, Ohio. He was 45 years old.
He is lovingly remembered by his sons, Jacob Tyler and Jeremy Joseph, whom he shared with his former wife and friend, Melanie Ondrusko. Jared leaves his mother, Lynn Ondrusko and his stepmother, Deborah Ondrusko. His father, Milton Ondrusko, preceded him in death on June 7, 2018. Jared also leaves behind his siblings: Peter Ondrusko (Marie), Miranda Sharpnack (Joshua), Emily Koon (Henry), and David Schmac. Jared had a deep love for his nieces and nephews: Maiya, Sadie, Rion, Riyha, Murphy, Makenna. Lastly, Jared leaves behind Hazelnut, his faithful canine companion.
Jared leaves behind a large and loving family, including many aunts, uncles, and cousins, as well as countless friends who will deeply miss his warmth, generosity, and humor.
With a spirit that drew people in and a devotion to family that never waivered, Jared lived his life as both the heartbeat of the party and the steady anchor of home.
Jared spent summers at Edgewater Yacht Club and winters watching the Browns. He had a big laugh and a fiercely loyal heart. He was known for dropping whatever he was doing to help someone in need — a testament to the kind of man he was.
His love for cooking and grilling brought people together - you were never hungry at Jared’s house. He found joy in simple pleasures and shared them generously with those around him.
Jared had a passion for heavy machinery which fueled a lifelong career. Those who knew him will remember his unmatched work ethic and incredible operating skills. Machines were no match for Jared.
Jared also shared his days with Hazel, his loyal canine friend, who brought him comfort and joy. His bond with her reflected his gentle and compassionate nature, and she will miss their fireside cuddles.
Above all else, Jared told the truth. He will be remembered as a man of integrity and strength.
