Carol Lynn Grabiec

Mar 2, 1958 — Oct 2, 2026

Carol Lynn Grabiec (nee Kohut), 68, was born on March 2, 1958 and passed away on October 2, 2026 in Parma, Ohio. She is survived by her devoted husband, Thomas, and together they raised four charming children: Julie Hales (Jeff), Thomas Grabiec, Keri Kraemer (Drew), and Eric Grabiec (Nikki Bartos). She immensely adored her grandchildren: Maddy and Evan Hales; Nathan Grabiec; Brielle, Andrew Jr., and Emerson Kraemer; and Harper Grabiec. Also holding her in their hearts are her siblings: Cathy Kohut, Robert Kohut (Kathy), and Pamela Brown (Thomas, deceased). She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Catherine Kohut (nee Homzak), and brother, Edward Kohut (Julie).

Carol shared 46 wonderful years of marriage with the love of her life. Her greatest joys were her children and grandchildren, who brought her endless pride and happiness. Her love showed in the countless everyday things she did to make life better for her family.

She knew her way around the kitchen and enjoyed feeding the people she cared most about. No one left hungry from her table, a place of comfort, good food, and unsolicited advice.

Her hands always were busy, whether working in the yard, growing her garden, or making her next DIY idea come to life.

She had a soft spot for animals and an equally impressive eye for a bargain. A good sale made her day, but a sale with a coupon was cause for celebration.

She was happiest out in the sun, diving into a good book at the pool or putting her toes in the Myrtle Beach sand. Never did she pass up a glass of wine or hesitate to try her luck at the casino. She understood that the next spin could be the big one, and occasionally gave it a few more pulls to prove it to herself.

She leaves behind cherished memories, loved ones who deeply miss her, and projects that forever will carry her touch. We will think of her whenever we gather around the table, hear the waves, or catch ourselves insisting that we are right.

To respect her wishes, a gathering will remain private so in her honor please make something delicious, pull a weed, raise a glass, and never pay full price for anything. She undoubtedly would approve.
